A partnership agreement was signed during the 9th forum "Perm-East," which is dedicated to India this year.

One of the most important tasks of the development of Perm is to increase the level of international partnership. The Eastern countries, which demonstrate friendly relations with the Russian Federation, are considered in a primary way. The work for the engagement connection with India is in progress, including establishing contacts and finding possible ways of cooperating.

At that point, the 9th public urban forum, "Perm-East" was held in Perm, dedicated to India. Its main purpose is to make citizens and guests of Perm acquainted with different life aspects of the eastern country. The program of the event is designed for experts of different fields as well as the general public. For example, participants of the Forum include such people as the head of the Russian centre of Science and Culture in New Delhi, India; representatives of an international union of non-governmental organization "The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly"; regional public organizations of union Indians, "Indian Diaspora," the center of Indian culture in Perm; social activists and students from Perm; and many others.

- I'm very happy that you organized the forum "Perm-East" and decided to dedicate it to India. At the present time, about 15 hundred Indian citizens are getting higher education here. I want to say big thanks to Perm Krai, the city administration, and its residents for making it possible for our students to study in your city. They feel completely safe and comfortable because of you all. As noted by the president of the educational organization "Education India," Kamruzzaman Sayed, during his video message.

During the roundtable discussions, forum participants discussed new ways of creating a joint future, perspective directions for cooperation, features of business interaction with Indian partners, issues of social-cultural transition among Indian students in Perm, and the development of tourism in India. Guests of the event were able to attend workshops on learning Hindi and the traditional art of India, as well as take part in Indian tea ceremonies and presentations of Indian cuisine.

During the roundtable discussion on the topic of "Perspective directions and features of business interaction with Indian partners" there was a signing ceremony for an arrangement about a Russian-Indian consortium for producing machine tools "Parakram Industries". At this point, this arrangement was signed among the International Public Movement "We Love Russia" the project management company of the corporation "Intellect of Russia", LLC "Inntel-Service,", JSC "Baltic Machine Tool Building Plant," Saint Petersburg, and the Indian Business Council of the Eurasian People's Assembly.

Furthermore, Eduard Sosnin handed out notes of thanks from the mayor of the city for the help in organizing and holding the event. The chairman of the Business Council of the Eurasian People's Assembly, Mataru Harjinder Singh, in return presented a response note of thanks for the hard work in developing Russian-Indian relations.

- India, a country with a rich history and culture, is a very promising direction for "public diplomacy" and creating friendly connections among the cities of our countries in matters of public life and business. Perm is a great industrial city, and we are going to be happy to share the experience with our colleagues, for example, in the machine tool industry. I'm sure that this forum will be beneficial for making new business contacts, and companies of Perm will increase business interactions with India, emphasized Eduard Sosnin.
